RegistryFix is another registry cleaning software product that is selling like crazy lately. The product’s website claims that it has been downloaded by over 13 million people in more than 100 countries…that’s pretty impressive. So, does the product itself live up to the hype?
I recently gave RegistryFix a try and have to say that I was unimpressed. The download and product installation was a snap and I was up and running in just a few minutes. RegistryFix is very easy to use and is pretty much a “push-button” cleaning program. I found the RegistryFix software to do a pretty good job of quickly scanning my Windows registry and it was able to find a bunch of broken shortcuts and missing .DLL entries in my registry. Another click of the button and the issues were all repaired in a matter of seconds.
My issue with this product isn’t with what it does do, but what it doesn’t. RegistryFix is simply just a registry cleaner and nothing more. It doesn’t contain any of the other performance tools that many other programs do. Keeping this in mind, you would be much better off going with a program like PerfectOptimizer that includes many other useful tools and is still easy to use. RegistryFix just isn’t worth its $37 price tag.
