Grilling Made Easy

For our first recipe, we decided to go with something easy and simple that can also feed a  lot of people.  It’s summer and we know that during the summer time, people love to throw barbecue parties and grill up some meat and veggies.  Here we are going to share our favorite and really simple grilling recipe.  It’s easy and just takes less than a half hour to prep.  You’ll need a good grill.  With all cooking, you want to have the best appliances.  That includes stoves, ovens, grills and more.  When you have a good quality appliance, it makes the cooking time go faster and you don’t have to constantly check on your food.  For this specific recipe, we will be using a Broil King grill.  You can easily find information on bbq dealers online, but we’ve had great food come out of the Broil King grill so far, so we will continue to use it.

steakWe want to start you off on a recipe that can be used on any type of meat and vegetables.  We all love to grill or sear something on a barbecue.  From chicken to steak to even seafood, there are a ton of ways you can grill your food.  Here is one of our favorites.

The ingredients you’ll need can be easily found in the grocery store (or in your kitchen).  You’ll most likely already own a bunch of these ingredients so hopefully this recipe will not only be tasty but also inexpensive to make!

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 4 roasted red bell peppers chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • Ten 10-ounce strip steaks, cut 3/4 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Smoked sea salt
  • Smoked black pepper
  • Other vegetables you want to add
  • Other meats you want to add

In a bowl, combine the oils and vinegar and whisk away!  Then add in the parsley, cilantro, peppers, garlic, onion, lime, and red pepper.  Add in salt and pepper to taste.  Then use the butter and brush the steaks on both sides.  Add on salt and pepper.  Then throw them on the grill on moderate to high heat for about 10 minutes.  This should provide you with a medium rare steak.  If you want to grill vegetables or other types of meat, do this now.  For salmon, we advise that you just use some lemon juice as seasoning.  For seafood and chicken, there are many ways to grill and spice.  Pick the spice you like and grill the other meats and vegetables.  When you’re done, serve the meat on a platter then arrange the sauce you created earlier on top.  Voila, you’re finished!

See how easy that was?  When you’ve got a great grill like ours, everything just comes together so easily.  You can also check out the best warranty policy on grills, but we’re sure we got the best one!  This sauce taste great with all types of meat especially steak and pork.  With vegetables, you can layer it on top of grilled zucchini, broccoli and even corn!  Try it out and let us know what you think.
